About This Special Issue
The background of this research emerged from our awareness to introduce and promote the Islamic education system for those who want to find a suitable alternative to international education system, due to the researcher’s observation of the lack of interest in moral and social values in the international education system. Which led to the exposure man and his environment to apparent damage, due to the separation between science and ethics. Based on this background, the aims and significance of this special issue are: to reveal the social and ethical dimension in the Islamic education system, through Islamic texts in the light of the purposes of Islamic law, to address contemporary challenges that threaten human survival and happiness, and to indicate the extent to which this dimension can be activated in formulating the objectives of education in a multi-cultural and multi-belief world, where education has become devoid of its moral and humanitarian goals; which indicates the urgent need for a tight link between the international education system and ethics that restrain science and prevent it from transgressing humanity borders, in order to preserve man in his life, his mind, his honor and his property. The method used to achieve the mentioned aims is the descriptive analytical method. As for the research subject that this issue will focus on, it is bridging the relationship between the international education system and the moral and ethical values emanating from the Islamic education system. The expected results of this special issue are: the recognition that the separation between education and moral and human values is what leads the world to the disasters and epidemics we are witnessing today, and that the Islamic education system is capable of ensuring real security for all of humanity; socially, economically and politically. And that for the safety of all of humanity, it is necessary to be guided by the Islamic education system, which is based on compassion for all humanity, like the mercy of a mother to her child.
